The most talented actress of Kannada cinema Ramya alias Divya Spandana has won the Lok Sabha by election from Mandya seat by a margin of 66,616 votes. She beats her nearest rival Puttaraju of Janata Dal Secular.

Apparently for eight to nine months Ramya will be MP and the ensuing LS elections for the nation is slated in May 2014.

It is Dr Ambarish first who got elected to Lok Sabha from cinema industry and later Shashikumar won from Chitradurga. Now Ramya wins the election from Mandya.

Actress Ramya of Congress I has secured 4.60,779 votes while Puttaraju got 3,94 263 votes. Ramya thanks the congress people who have supported her in this win and remembered her foster father RT Narayan on declaration of results.

At a very young age of 30 years actress Ramya becoming an elected member to Lok Sabha is a delectable progress of her career.

I did not expect the win but never disappoint my people. I go to the people talk to them and solve their problems Ramya replied for a reaction.

Actress Ramya was in emotional set back after filing nominations for this By Election as her foster father RT Narayan died after a few hours later.

The much sought after actress of Kannada cinema Ramya has one Telugu unfinished project of Kodi Ramakrishna in which Diganth is her co star.

On the Kannada film front she has ‘Dil Ka Raaja, Neer Dosai, Aryan – all three are under production. She has signed a film for producer SV Babu and agreed for a film with Kichcha Sudeep.

Kannada cinema industry welcomes Ramya as MP and all the best wishes to Ramya on her new position of Member of Parliament.
